Council Hall Available to Rent

Looking for a place to hold a special event (wedding reception, condo meeting, birthday party, repast, etc.)?  Consider the K of C Council #9053 Hall located at 9901 Coastal Highway, Ocean City, Maryland. Facilities for up to 150 persons with bar and kitchen.  Call the Hall Rental Manager, Bill Bellistri, 410-641-6989, or the Council Hall weekdays at 410-524-7994 for details and availability.  To view pictures and a description of the Hall facilities, click here.

Council Activities

Business meetings are held twice a month during the Fall, Winter and Spring on the 1st and 3rd Wednesday, at 7:00 pm, at the Council House. During the Summer months, meetings are held on the 3rd Wednesday of the month at 7:00 pm in the Council House.

Our council hosts a large number of council activities throughout the year. These include:  Bingo on Friday evenings; Crab dinners on Tuesday evenings, the Sunday breakfast buffet , fish fry, beef-on-the-bay, crab cake platters, and fried chicken dinners.

Annual activities include:  New Year's Eve Party, St. Patrick's Day party, Christmas Party, Easter Egg Hunt, hosting annual Knights of Columbus convention, conducting Tootsie Roll drive, operating the local Hoop Shoot contest together with Ocean City Elks club, Christmas Bazaar, participation in the March for Life in Washington, D. C., Super Bowl party,

The Fourth Degree Assembly provides ceremonial color guard for church and community activities.

Many people responded to my July Chaplain's message about "Old Glory" . Thank you!

The month of August is here with the  "Hot"  days of summer and the period of Ordinary time within the Church itself. The month of August holds so wonderfully days to enjoy.

August 4th is one of those special days. It is the Memorial of Saint John Baptist Vianney {1786-1859} "The Cure of Ars" who is the patron saint of Parish Priests. After overcoming many difficulties, he was ordained a priest; He was entrusted with a parish in the Town of

Ars in France, in the diocese of Belley. He cared for this parish in a marvelous way by his preaching, his mortification, prayer, and good works. Since he was renowned for great skill in helping penitents, people came to him from many regions and devoutly accepted his counsels; He died in 1859, and was canonized in 1925.

Please remember and pray for all these fine priests who labor in our area; Fr. John Klevence, Fr. Charles Traylor, Fr. Thomas Protack, Fr. Anthony Pileggi, Fr. David Kelley, Fr. Michael Darcy, Fr. John Kavanaugh, Fr. Joseph Kennedy, Fr. John Gorman, Fr. William Mathesius and Msgr. Thomas Tewes.

The installation of officers is set for Thursday, September 4th, 2008 at the Council Home at 6 PM .

Sadly, our Immediate Past State Deputy Edgar Haynes lost his 38 year old daughter suddenly 3 weeks ago. Please keep the Haynes family in your prayers.

Many thanks to John Postanowicz and his crab crews the last few

weeks. Attendance has been fantastic and he and his crews have been meeting the challenge. The same goes to all of our Bingo workers. We will be well into our Tootsie Roll Drive at press time. Please check to see if there is a slot you can fill.

The State Charity Fund envelopes will be coming out shortly. All they ask is a penny a day or $3.65 a person. Please support this worthy cause. God Bless.

Council #9053 was established in 1985 by 130 Knights most of whom migrated to Ocean City from the Baltimore, Maryland, area.
